Lincoln-Way Lacrosse Club was formed in the spring of 2007 and currently provides lacrosse opportunities for girls and boys in grades K thru 12.  Our co-operative high school program consists of players from Lincoln-Way High School District 210, which includes Lincoln-Way East, Central, and West.

The goal of our team is to provide a safe and productive environment that enables young athletes to learn and apply the principles of teamwork, discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship. We facilitate the development of strength and character in every player.

We strive to teach all players to Honor and Respect the game.

Participation in our Youth program is open to all K through 8th grade students that live inside and outside Lincoln-Way District 210. To participate in the High School program you must attend a District 210 school.

We are sustained by the efforts of volunteers who display an extraordinary amount of commitment and hard work, ensuring that our team is a positive influence in the lives of our players. We also strive to provide a service to our community by providing a healthy outlet for children and opportunities for the community to unite.

Sportsmanship - Teamwork - Strength - Character - Discipline - Dedication

LWLC participates in indoor and outdoor lacrosse programs for every type of player from beginner to advanced.

These programs emphasize the fundamentals of lacrosse, which include catching, passing, scooping, dodging, and defense. Participants will do drills designed to teach and develop these skills as well as team concepts to be used in intra-squad scrimmages.

Emphasis in practices and scrimmages will be on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

March Pre-Season Training is Happening!!

Contrary to what we discussed in January, we have been able to secure field indoor space at Hallmark Sports Club (10850 W Laraway Road in Frankfort) for March 2, 9, 16, 21, and 28 so our teams can run some pre-season training.  The first three dates are on Tuesday evenings from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and the latter two dates are on Sunday evenings from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.  The following is the schedule by age group for each of the practice days.  Players MUST be registered by 3/2 to participate in the indoor practices.  Please review the important safety guidelines below for players to play at Hallmark.  The attached COVID waiver is also required upon entry into Hallmark.

5:00 pm to 5:45 pm - 1st and 2nd graders

6:00 pm to 7:00 pm - 3rd and 4th graders

7:15 pm to 8:15 pm - 5th and 6th graders

8:30 pm to 9:45 pm - 7th and 8th graders

Rental Equipment Available!!

LWLC will rent equipment this season to those that need it!!  A form was emailed to all parents to complete if rental equipment is needed.  See https://forms.gle/Eaj3FaVxFQDwUnYV9 to complete the equipment form.  Please make sure that you complete this form ASAP so we can have your player’s rental equipment on March 2.  Please note that sizing will take place at the March 2 pre-season practice before your team's practice time.  Accommodations will be made if a player renting equipment cannot make the March 2 practice.

LWLC COVID Safety Guidelines & Waiver

LWLC wants to ensure the utmost safety to our players, parents, coaches, and other volunteers.  We ask that anyone that has the following symptoms within the last 24 hours please stay home from practices and games to ensure a safer situation for everyone:

  • Exposure to a person with a known positive COVID case
  • Fever of 100.3 or higher
  • New onset of moderate of severe headache
  • Shortness of breath
  • New cough
  • Sore throat
  • Vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal pain from an unknown cause
  • New congestion or runny nose
  • New loss of sense of taste or smell
  • Nausea
  • Fatigue from an unknown cause
  • Muscle or body aches

Upon entry into Hallmark by each player's first attended practice, ALL LWLC participants will need the attached COVID waiver signed in order to participate in LWLC practices.  To reduce risk as much as possible for our players, parents, and coaches, LWLC also requests the following:

  • Per Hallmark’s policy, only players and coaches are to remain inside Hallmark to reduce the number of people inside the facility.  Parents can only briefly meet coaches inside if players are new to the club or the coaches.  Parents must wear masks inside the facility at all times.
  • There will be 15-minute gaps between practices to keep the number of players and coaches inside the facility to a minimum.  Thus, players should enter the facility only 5 minutes prior to his or her scheduled practice start times to reduce the number of people inside the facility.
  • Players need to arrive inside Hallmark already dressed in full uniform.  Please do not bring in any bags unless absolutely necessary.
  • Temperature checks will be taken upon entry per the US Lacrosse Return to Play guidelines.  See https://s3.amazonaws.com/files.leagueathletics.com/Images/Club/13284/us-lacrosse-return-to-play-july-1-final.pdf.
  • All coaches will be wearing face masks at all times.
  • Players will need to wear face masks or helmet face shields when practicing indoors.  LWLC will have helmet shields if interested or see an example here:  Cascade Adult Field Shield for Lacrosse Helmet 3 Pack | DICK'S Sporting Goods.  If a player takes off his or her helmet to use the restroom or to enter or exit the facility, then he or she needs to wear a face mask.
  • Players need to bring enough water for the practices in water bottles.  Water is not available at Hallmark.

Looking forward to seeing you at our March pre-season training!  Thank you!!

Best,

LWLC
